Detective Dan Boyette was a police detective of the Los Angeles Police Department in Lethal Weapon.
Lethal Weapon[]
Boyette steps in Sergeant Roger Murtaugh's office to discuss with him the details of Amanda Hunsaker's death. The autopsy results show liquid drain cleaner that was laced into her barbiturates was found in her body, to which Boyette says she would have died within minutes anyways even if she had not jumped off her balcony to her death. He rules out her death as a homicidenas the coroner's office calls it. Boyette then begins to tell Murtaugh he will be assigned a partner on the case, but before he can finish, Murtaugh sees a man with a gun and charges after him, but the man flips him over his shoulder. Boyette introduces Murtaugh to Martin Riggs, his partner on the case.
