Rabbi Gelb first appeared when Leo Getz was sent to find a minister to give Lorna and Martin Riggs their marriage, when Lorna said, "Minister, priest, anything" and Leo ended coming with a Rabbi.
Gelb said he'd be willing to, but it wouldn't be official, to which Lorna said it was alright and that they just wanted to hear the words before the birth of the baby. So he performed the unofficial marriage for Lorna and Martin and pronounced them man and wife.
